I'm gonna hit the XJ pretty hard this weekend, but I don't know if I'll have it done in time.
Anybody got an empty seat?

My passenger seats open if you need a ride. I'm gonna hit the junkyard tomorrow morning for some spare axles, let me know if you need a hand this weekend.

Thanks guys!
I'll figure out tomorrow if the housing is bent. If the housing's still good enough to finally get shafts back in it (and after I get the steering box swapped), then I'll just be waiting on my new c/a bushings to get the whole thing back together.
We'll see...

Brian - Jeff's, uh, friend. :D

I may go but not sure about the mud that may be there due to the wet summer we are having. Anyone know if they got 1.5 inches of rain last night?

It turned out to be a nice day. It was not muddy at all. No people were harmed today. A cool turbo Geo Tracker got some major body modifications, an axle joint and drive shaft broken. I am tired. Good to see everyone.

Big thanks to Jim for (1) Getting the ride together, (2) Not mentioning that I blew the ujoint because I was too careless to actually tighten the unibearing-to-knuckle bolts, turns out those are important, and (3) Providing the primo seatcovers...
Thanks Jim!

If anyone's interested, I used the trails we ran Saturday, along with the ones we ran back in May, and traced out a very basic map of the park for the GPS app on my phone:
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb201/rmhull/HaspinMaps_zpsebffcc4c.png
It's loosely color-coded so that:
Blue - Fire Roads, tow-rig passable
Purple - Basic Trails, open-diff passable
Red - Moderate Hills, lockers helpful
Red Diamonds - Challenging Hills, lockers almost required.
Again, it's very basic, and I didn't bother to trace more than a quarter of the trails we ran. I'll continue to add trails as I see fit, but (1) if you plot every trail at Haspin, it'll look like a bowl of spaghetti. And (2) this is enough to get a feel for the layout of the park, and help you get from point A to point B. (I was always embarrassed just how lost I was out there!)
I've got it as a GPX file, I can share it via email if anyone wants it...

You still need to add the double L trees to you list and outer fence line which is a very good trail to run coming up from the bone and around...
Seams no one runs the front 1/4 of haspin anymore, there are some nice trails up there...

Oh, I know it's a long way from complete. Just a start...
I've ridden the fenceline trail, but I don't know where it is. Are you saying from the top of the bone to the east and then south?
And what/where are the "Double L's?" We're headed back on the 24th, we can try n cover new ground.
Thanks for the input!

Fence line - if you go up the bone and go straight so the fence is on your left side.. follow it around.. there is like a huge ass crack that most have to go around but normally will swallow your rig off camber (body damage).. before you get to a red fence. then continue keeping the fence on your left...
Double L trees are off the main trail go passed the turn off for the shoe tree ( just past the little pyramid hills) like you going to clay hill, there is trail on the left that will take you over to it... Leroy is a big fan hanging out there... I always seem to get lost in finding it..
Pink line= fence line... I had another better pix with it all mapped out but need to find it again...

Outstanding! Really like the property boundary, too. Looked for that and couldn't find it...
I'll rough those in later, then try to run em myself to get them traced exactly.
Thanks!
