Who is going to the fall crawl @ Harlan (10/5-10/7)?
Another forum (Hardline Crawlers) will also have a large group of rigs there this same weekend. http://www.hardlinecrawlers.com/forums/index.php?topic=58764.0

The club is going there October 5th. We stopped doing the crawl so we could do our core tour later in October. It's nice to not have all those people there too.

According to your link, its not the crawl, it's a memorial ride for someone. The fall crawl is usually later in October. But yeah, we're going that weekend.

I'll be riding with my dad that weekend (pending any major projects for school) since my jeep will be torn apart by then.

I was referencing it as the Harlan Fall Crawl because thats what its listed as in the sticky thread for "2018 Trail Ride & Event Schedule" in this sub-forum.
The Hardline memorial ride for Pat Holmann went on last year the same weekend we were down there. They too avoid the Fall Crawl weekend to avoid the trail congestion. Aside from Black Mountain making event specific tshirts, im not sure the fall crawl really exists as an event anymore.
Now that we're past the technicalities and we've established that Oct. 6, 7 8 is the weekend were going to Harlan.

I'm in with the rzr. I will most likely be heading down Thursday evening.
I think the fall crawl events went away when the KY mountain crawlers disappeared.

:at-wits'end: I am in a schedule mess of this, I can get off Thursday but CANNOT get off Friday...
It's doubtful that I can get this worked out.
Mandatory training due to towel heads may ruin my weekend on this deal.

Unfortunately I won't be able to get Thursday off. The best I could do would be 1pm. By the way, where we are camping, is there phone service? Because I will need to text in sick Friday morning at 6am.

You missed Ken Garcia rolling off of the mountain 200+ feet down.... That was right after you left.. He was a little banged up, had a couple of cuts. Luckily him and his dad were okay and the Buggy was on all 4 wheels when he finally stopped rolling. It took about an hour or so to get him recovered and back down to a trail. Luckily he landed right on a creek bed that was somewhat each to get down. He had to guide himself down with the wench holding him, while he was backing down to the trail Kevin found.

Ken simply wasn't aware of how close he was to the edge, and when the tires crest over the hill, there was a huge washout that took the buggy down fast. He went end over end, smacked a tree upright where his Belly was facing my dad and I (since we saw the whole thing) for a split second he stopped.. Then the buggy twisted around the tree and he went down another 150ft and finally stopped.

DOH... Still can't raise my arm up.
