Trail Report:

- Rush Offroad, Labor Day Weekend
Another great trip. Great turnout, great wheeling...

Kevin and I got there early Friday, and tooled around a bit. The main group came later, and we all headed out on a night run up FiveGuys and Trail 39. Both were eventful, I lost a drag link and caved in a rocker, but no major carnage.

Saturday morning we ran Rankin's Ravine in the rain, which went about as you'd expect. Zach exploded a driveshaft, with an actual fireball, that looked really cool on video.

We regrouped and headed to ThreePole. Tony broke a hub, and decided to drive home for spare parts. Three hours home and three hours back, and we put it back together Saturday night.

While he was gone, the rest of us ran (or watched) RockGod, CupCake, and SlickRock Wally; all of them were really tough after the morning rain. We had one flop on CupCake, and three on SlickRock, including Zach who ended up in a tree and needed four winches to get him out.

Sunday we started at HardCORE, where Tony broke his fresh repair. From there we headed to Tater's Headache, where Lester and Kevin both made the hard line up and over the tree, and Pat's boy Luke made one hell of a run at it!

We hit Unfinished Business, then ran back to camp for dinner. On the way, Jeff Ratliff ripped off a control arm, and my pinion bearing finally let go.

After dinner, a few went back out to ThreePole. Lester was goaded into running RockGod backwards, then lost a steering hose on SlickRock. After patching him up, everybody headed back to camp for evening shenanigans...

Really great trip, all the way around. Pics and videos here (http://www.cincyoffroad.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12167)

This will be a Members Event to scope and clear trails on Rich's new property to the east of the current farm. Mid to late November is the plan, many details to sort out...

- Club Christmas Party, Nov 30th
A little earlier this year, but the other details should be pretty similar. Jeff and the Smiths were gracious enough to invite us back. Plan on the Club buying Subway and bring your own side dish, white elephant gift exchange, and much merriment!

Official Business:

- 2019 Officer Nominations
It's getting to be that time of year again. Six of the seven Members of our Executive Board are up for reelection or replacement. (Andy is entering the second of his two-year term as Trustee.)

Look for a Nomination thread in the Members Forum soon.

- First Aid Training
After a couple of scary incidents at Rush, the converstion turned to proper first aid and emergency medical. Out in the woods we may be an hour or more from help, so it might be wise to have at least a basic knowledge of what to do when the worst happens. Brad Bean said he might have a connection that could offer classes at a very reasonable rate. Look for a thread soon with details and signup.
