We are planning on wheelin' trip to Natural Bridge next month. One of the guys was asking about bringing an ATV down there to run with us.
I've seen ATV's down there before, but thought I had heard they were cracking down on non-licensed vehicles? Anyway, what are your thoughts on whether this is a good idea or not?

Bring the atv if you are a really fast rider and do not care if it gets impounded. They are still watching and many trails are seeded over. If you are licensed and insured obey the laws and enjoy!

most atvs ive seen are local people ive even seen riding lawn mowers which is quit funny in a redneck way but still looks bad on the rest of the law obeying people so keep it legal we dont need to give anyone more reasons to close trails

I was with group wheeling at Slade last November when one of them showed up with a quad. We hadn't been there 30 minutes before we were told to put it back in the truck or take the fine. So, back in the truck it went and the dude had to wheel all day with a heavy ass Polaris 4x4 quad in the back of his truck. His bumper and tailgate ended paying the price...

ATV's would not help the problem we currently have.

That's what I was thinking, just wanted to double-check before I gave the guy an answer.
On a slightly different note, any reccomendations for other trails to ride to give us two good days? We are familiar with the normal trails....Widowmaker, Rattlesnake up to Carb, Devil's Brew (up above Moonshine.......is Moonshine open?), Slider, Blazer, etc...
We used to always come in through the Nature Trail but I know that is closed.

Blazer is a fun one with a large rock obstacle. I think moonshine is closed. Hit tombstone in the lower rock garden!

Seen Blazer in person but never tried it or saw anybody else attempt while I was there. I had already broken a front axleshaft and everybody else in our group was "only" running 33's and didn't want any part of it.
Lower rock garden??

Saw a ranger with 39's walk up it and had some success with 42's on a wrangler. Couldn't do it with the old truggy though! If you slide down it is a long fall!

The (white?) Ranger had to be Casey... "Redriverranger" posted above.
I saw Jesse do the center "V" once, I saw Carwash do it once, and I saw Casey do it once or twice... (but I think that many of us have seen Casey do everything down there a time or two, so that's a LOT of times... hahaha)
I've gone up the "bypass" a few times (if you can call it a bypass, the right side as you approach, trees chained to other trees, huge dropoff, etc.) while staring at my death in the rear view ... good times...
Seems like a different life ago. :(

Casey, he cheated.....lol
i have been up the "v" 3 or 4 times
but it has been about 3 years since i've seen it
am sure that 1 guy with the ranger dug it out more since ...

The group I was with the one time had also run the day before and were raving about a Ranger with double t-cases they saw which walked up Blazer. I won't take anything away from that obstacle, but the pucker factor has a lot to do with it especially when you look at the bypass (right side).
