As this is an offroading site, I will try to keep these at a minimum. There was some interest in hiking. I don't think it would warrant enough interest to build another catagory, but if/when it does please tell me to shut up.

Heading out for a 2 hour hike tomarrow. Starting way point will be Miami University trails off Oxford-Milford Road. Plan to leaving at 10:00am Saturday morning but I am flexible if anyone wants to come. Planning a four mile trip should take about 2-2.5 hours with my youngest son leading the way. Post up here if you want to go. I expect it will be a bit muddy. You can call me if you want to link up 703-0296.

I sure will, my Boys and I did 3.5 miles this morning. It was wonderful weather and we finished up just before the ground really started warming up and getting soggy. I expect we will go out again next Saturday.

Where about are these trails, are they by the stables????

There is a trail that runs right behind the stables. We always start at the very small parking lot on Oxford-Milford Road.

Going west on 73 towards Oxford you'll see Butterfield Farms. Long long white fence. At the end of the fence is Oxford-Milford Road. Turn Right 1/4 mile down on the left just across the street from I think the second house is a small gravel parking lot. If you blink you'll miss it. If you come to a road on your right you must have blinked.

There is a nice board there with some free maps. They are wonderfully trails set up for hiking or trail running. Pets are welcome but they ask you clean up after them. No bicycles, they yelled at me but boy was it fun.

I live at 6552 oxford-milford and anyone is welcome to stop by for beer or to warm up or to wash your muddy feat ofter your trip.

I know the fence you are talking about, I go that way to Haspin. Thanks for the info, I'm always game for a new trail to hike.
