A 96 XJ with 3/4" spacers with a 6" skyjacker spring and I built the long arm kit. rear is daystar shackles with 3 1/2" bds spring with 1" angled block to get pinion set right. Has 33x14x15 boggers. swap in 8.25 rear hi pinion 30 front. stock gears I have been working on retubing a h.p. 44 and plan to run a 44 rear out of a amigo.Banks torq-tube header,no cat and a dynomax ultra flow muffler.

The daily driver is in the works(its a salvage rebuild),its a 99 cherokee with a planned 4" lift with rubicon wheels and an 8.8 rear axle out of an explorer with disc brakes.

I also have a 88' sami with a spring over and 31'' thornbirds. Just picked up an 85 toyota x-cab with a flat bed and the typical rotted frame. In the design stages is another 99' XJ that i have been cad drawing a tube frame for.

Swimming pool store...I'm coming up blank (which is actually normal for me). I'm down from Walgreens at Salem and Beechmont, just past Five Mile and the lovely mall that will forever be Beechmont Mall to me. (Macy's)

Sounds good. Yearly fees for CORE are $50. Gets you membership rights including voting rights for officers for the following year as well as some club stickers and a T shirt. Gonna try to get a couple member only parties going, but those are still in the works....

Well if you go over to 32 and head east till you get off at the 222/132 exit then go up 132 to ownseville then you turn right on rt.50 and go about 25 miles you will run into lynchburg. Have you everheard of Houks Jeep parts in fayeteville? If so Im 12 miles from his store.

Pretty nice... The chop-top was the original plan for mine, but I kinda fell in love with the mirrored/vented side windows. And the dry storage. Okay, more-or-less dry...

That one's awfully shiny for my taste, but it looks like good work. I think they grafted the entire MJ roof onto it, about an inch or two taller than the XJ.

Cool.

Yeah but i still have to work late just so I dont drive 28 miles home then turn around and drive back past the milford exit..ya'll can meet me at my work and ride with me....if that helps....Im out in gods country..we have 2 bars...3 banks, and 1 gas station...

so that way you can go to the bar,

stumble out of it across the street and hit up the bank for a loan to pay the tab at said bar

then head to the next bar stopping at the other bank(which right next door to the second bar) and get a loan for the next tab,

leave there and stop at the next bank and get a loan for fuel,

then proceed to the fuel station...to get a 12 pack for the ride home.....hahahha....

Im not sure if thats what they did,Id say your right. I had a link to the build but have since lost it. I would love to put the first scratch in it!! either way I have seen a few conversions on pirate4x4.com and they turned out decent. They didnt put a whole lota time into looks like the one I posted.

Yeah, the guys on NAXJA do that all the time...

We wheel with one 'manche all the time. I don't know if Tom's on CORE, but he's on NAXJA as ComancheDude. (He's the powder blue one in my gallery.)

Tim, the guy that got me started wheeling, sold his XJ to build up a gorgeous CJ5 that didn't wheel for snot. He sold it to build the red MJ on my page.

He hasn't been out with us in a couple years, but he's currently swapping in a Ford 5.0, and should be out this summer.

See ya

Up here there is pretty much atleast one church for every bar in every town you go to. That way you can pray for a safe ride home after previous excursions.

She did say "Stop lights," plural.

I think with one you may be okay on a technicality, unless you have to count the four sides of the intersection...

Can we get a ruling from admin?

I wouldn't bother on my way in, having to deal with traffic.

But on my way home, when I'm the only guy around, and I'm stuck sitting at every other dammed red light... By my SELF...

It gives you time to fume about it.

I cant remember how many churches we have..I know at least 3...wait 4...and one masonic lodge...next to the first bank..acrossed the street from the first bar...none of the churches are close to the bars...

2nd shift..I used to work seconds..glad im one first with having my daughter..

On my way to work all the idiots are out..I swear they should all leave there houses earlier..I set my cruise at 60 and they still fly around me..once i paced a guy just to see how fast he was running...it was 73...I just dont get it..I leave around 5:20 a.m. when we have over time..when we dont I leave around 6:40 a.m. at that time there are no idiots..on the way home I have a cushion..leave before 4:00 p.m. or wait till 5:45..leave any where between and youll sit in traffic coming off 275...and still not get home any earlier than if i left at 5:45...

WrenchMonkey
05-25-2009, 01:56 AM
I don't know that they do a formal club trip every month, but there are guys that get together at least that often. When the weather's nice, it's twice a month or even every weekend.

I think a lot of the club runs tend to be farther out: Harlan, Badlands, Redbird.

I personally like to stay closer to home, Haspin and 491, which is my new favorite.

I try to get out at least once a month.

Keep an eye on the "Trail Runs and Events" Forum, there's always something cooking!

See ya!

Club gets out monthly. But others post up if they're heading somewhere. Ours tend to be overnight/father away. But many others do the ones closer to home. Depends on what you're looking for, but I'm betting at some point you can find it. Terrain Stompers has some day runs as well, might check their board out too. http://terrainstompers.com/forum/

Thanks for the heads up. As far as to what Im looking for...I dont care if I drove an hour to wheel for 30 minutes...I just love wheeling my jeep.

I think it is pretty cool when you build something from the ground up and get to wheel it.

I just want to get out more than once a year, which has been the norm for the last couple years.

I didnt build my jeep just to look cool running down the road....I dont get into concrete mudding or mall crawling..lol.
I have checked into the trail rides and always check them out first thing..

I will check out the other site thanks!

Well, from your house, it'll likely be at least a couple hours, even to Haspin or 491.

But it's not so bad really, two hours there, six or eight on the trail, two home.

Ten or twelve hour day playing is better than eight hour day working!

Hope to see you soon!

Stop light? Heck, not only did the town I grew up in not have any stop lights, they didn't even have a 4-way stop. All the main road through the middle of town had as a reduced speed limit of 45 mph.

Haven't been in Lynchburg since high school...we used to play them in basketball.
