Good eye! That was the first time to swap tanks on the buggy and I had a heck of a time doing it wasent in the best place to be swaping tanks. The tanks that came with the buggy are the steel forklift tanks and are a big differance on weight compared to the alum. 10 gallon tanks I use on my toyota truck. I plan to let the steel ones go with the truck and keep the bigger alum. for the buggy if they will fit. I havent tried it yet.
Heres the list the seller give to me.
•TOYOTA MOTOR
•RUNS ON PROPANE
•TWO PROPANE TANKS
•TOYOTA 5 SPD TRANNY
•MARLIN CRAWLER DUAL CASE ADAPTER
•CHEVY 10 BOLT FRONT AXLE
•CHEVY 12 BOLT REAR AXLE
•LOCKED FRONT AND REAR
•CHROMOLLY SHAFTS FRONT AND REAR
•BEADLOCKS (I THINK THEY ARE MRT)
•42 INCH IROKS TONS OF TREAD
•DISC BRAKES FRONT AND REAR
•STAINLESS STEEL BRAKE LINES
•FULL HYDRAULIC STEERING
•WILWOOD HYDRAULIC CLUTCH
•RACING BUCKET SEATS
•5 POINT HARNESSES
:OPTIMA BATTERY
:REAR SWAYBAR
:2,000 LBS
IT'S 4 LINKED FRONT AND REAR, HEIM JOINTS ALL THE WAY AROUND, AND HAS 18 INCH LONG TRAVEL AIR SHOCKS.
THE WINCH IS A RAMSEY 8,000 LBS
WIRED IN THE CAB CONTROLS.
Something he forgot to tell me is that it has the worse oil leak ive ever seen. Looks like its leaking somewhere around the timing cover I plan to fix it this week

2 days after pickup.
Pulled motor to replace throw out bearing and found out that the inputshaft had about a1 inch of front to back play and 1/2 inch up and down play so I replaced it with another w56 and I have a centerforce clutch and pressure plate for it.. For the oil leak the timing chain cover is cracked ( the bolt that goes through the valve cover was tightened to much and cracked the cover so Iam replacing that and puting a new head gasket on while its apart. Was going to put a cam in it but looks to have a new aftermarket cam in it of some kind.

good looking buggy, but damn, a 10 bolt and 42's? those axles have to already be living on borrowed times.
I drug a trans and T-case to zooki melt because the previous owners buddy said this buggy needed them. But once I got there they told me he had bought a complete truck and didn't need mine anymore:mad: sounds like he needed them after all...
It is a nice rig though :beers:

He told me that it was just a throw out bearing making the noise.
O well ill have i lined out in a week or so
I plan on putting new skins on it to.Ill take some pics as I go and post them.
Question?
I bought this off ebay and asked seller about any knowed problems and he said nothing about the oil leak that leaks about that size of the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket in 2 min. of running.
What kind of feedback should I leave???
Ive been holding off on doing this not sure on to say anything about it?

Ask him about the leak once more and see what he says. I would go negative it sounds like on the feedback unless he is willing to work something out. .02 cents worth right there!

Negative feedback doesn't mean **** to most people. If you want to do something about it, make him pay for the repairs to it. Or if you payed thru paypal, file a grievance with them for partial money back. Or tell him you are going to file a grievance if he doesn't cover the cost of the cover and materials, etc.

you bought at the risk of not looking at it beforehand.
and you picked it up at some point, am sure you gave it a once over
the five gallon oil leak might have been noticable?
fix it and move on with your life
My vote is you leave no feedback,

He told me that it was just a throw out bearing making the noise...
Here's my thought, seems like he stated that there was a symptom (noise)... and what he believed was the cause... Proving deceit would be tough...

it does ONLY weigh 2000lbs... I'm sure that is one of the only reasons that the axles don't break just coming off the trailer... just wait 'til he has the full power of all four squirrels!!

I called and spoke with John and he said 2 seats to 40047 mt.washington KY= $80
$140
$140
= $360
A little cheaper than pirate. I talked to that guy lastnight and he wanted $395 to my door.
Anyone know of a seat just as good for a cheaper price?
Check these out! Im thought about trying these but kind of scared to spend my $ on something without a brand name but they do look alright

have you sat in a seat like this? are you a small person?
my best suggestion is to try the seats out in another rig before you pay for them... i have known more than one person to buy seats and hate them.

I had a set of the empi's sitting in a baja that I rarely drove, so I pulled them out and put them in my jeep, They are so-so for comfort. I would have been a little disappointed if I had bought them, and not just had them laying around. Like Carwash said if you are a bigger guy you won't fit in them well at all. I'm about 5'7" 175 and they are a little tight.
