After what feels like 40 days and 40 nights of rain, we decided to move our 491 trip back a week.

The early roster is Nick, Jamie, Ryan from TORC and me.

The more the merrier!

You know what mudd means spelled backwards???:D

It was a muddy mess last trip.. Got the video to prove it.

Course certain wheelers with brand new winches may want to go muddin'..:D

Okay, it's probably because I'm thoroughly lit, but that just struck me as funny as hell...

you guys are pussies. the only thing 491 has to offer is mud... therefore rain makes 491 "better"... go wheel you fags.

Theres a big difference in wheeling and muddin'.... I'm for wheeling in the mudd and in all weather conditions.

I don't like Muddin'.... It's not fun to me. You spend more time winching and hours of cleaning the mudd off the jeep. ( Last time I had 6 hours of cleaning)

Thats not to say I never go muddin' Just not today.

Huh, I guess I'm just the opposite.

I didn't mind the mud. We've done it sloppy as hell, and had a blast.

I just didn't want to wheel/winch/recover in the rain.

I'd rather wheel in the snow than the rain...

It's been a good day..
Changed a gas tank in a car.
Made some mudflaps for the jeep.(Go ahead I know what your thinking)
Cleaned up the garage.
Cut the grass.

Now I'm kicking back with a margarita..

Oh Yeah, almost forgot my jeep looks pretty clean right now.....:D :D

Just enough mud to keep it interesting, and just enough carnage to show we were there.

Helluva weekend!

It was a blast guys .. Thanks for the bail out on the mud hole that swallowed me...

It took three winches to get me out . Mine to pull me forward,Robert's to pull me side ways away from the swamp, and Ryan's to pull me out... Jamie's was on stand by...

Awesome time at the 491:evilgrin:

Looks like a fun time. I'm trying out the TJ next weekend at Haspin. It's getting the 8.8, 4:88's and Aussie's front and rear in it this week.

I can't wait to try out the new goodies :D

33's for now. It will be a tad steep but I do have a 6 speed to help with that. My 33's are going to a good friend in a month or so (when he's wife lets him buy them from me :D ) then the 35" KM2's will go on with a tad more lift.

Thanks, I've decided I really like it, too.

Tomorrow morning I'ma start on the wheels, I finally decided on a dark metallic grey.

I like the color so much I think I'm gonna do the wheels on the tow rig and trailer to match.

I got the rears done this morning. It's a LOT darker than I expected. At first glance it looks like really glossy black, and I'm sure that's how it'll look in pics.

But it catches the light really nice, and kinda looks like the mirrored glass in the side windows.

I've decided I like it a lot.

I'll try to get pics tomorrow, when I do the fronts, but like I say, it'll probably just look black.

Robert

(And a mall crawler? Really? You have seen my rig right?!? :D)

It's all good...:) I was just joining in on the fun..

Figured that was the hill in question. For the record ,I wheeled back up the creek and climbed the hill. I remember it well because, I just about got sideways sliding down into the creek.

No worries bout the mall crawler.. Till I see ya cruisin' a Macy's . :D

what do you have?

To wheel or race?

98 TJ on 35's blah blah blah...

I don't race my own car anymore (Jeep's more fun with the family) but I crew chief for a couple guys who drag race in the NMRA (National Mustang Racers Association). We travel all over the eastern half of the US about once a month. It's a good time but uses up alot of it.

Probably wont have a chance till Thanksgiving weekend. Might be able to sneak in a trip to 491 before then if anyone else is going.
