2010 will be a great year for local off road enthusiasts. Over the last few years great off road riding areas have been closed. Livingston, KY OutBack Adventure Park, Most of Slade, Buck’s Run MX Park, and Hills and Hollers were all great riding places and each had something different to offer. We have wheeled throughout the US and must say the best place to Offroad is right here in Good Ole Kentucky. With the help of some fellow friends, it was decided it was time that folks within 1.5 hours of Lexington, Louisville, and Cincinnati have a great place to enjoy their off road toys.
Dirty Turtle OffRoad (DTOR) trail system accommodates full size vehicles and anything 4x4. The trail system offers a full day of riding regardless of your experience. We have trails for those in stock vehicles and for those who have just starting riding or driving their ORV’s. Trail system also has trails that will test the rig of rigs. Some no one will accomplish….. 
Park currently has riding open for 4x4’s, ATV’s, MX Bikes, 6X6’s, and side by sides.
DTOR is located on what used to be Buck’s Run MX park. DTOR will have 270 acres of prime offroading and trail enjoyment. Once the trail system is open, DTOR will focus its efforts to repair the existing MX track….although several promoters have shown interest in using the track and modifying it for a Truck Challenge obstacle course…..

From January until the grand opening April 10th, DTOR will be laying out the trail system. DTOR will be reaching out to various clubs to come in and help and exchange for various incentives plus be some of the first to be part of the preview party!!!
Our commitment is to make Dirty Turtle Offroad the perfect getaway for all of you.
We look forward to wheeling with you this year!

HAPPY NEW TRAILS 2010

DirtyTurtle Offroad Presents……….
Trail Cuttin Daze
March 20 & 21st, 2010
9:00- till we are wore out!

TEAM DTOR would like to invite offroad clubs to DTOR for a weekend of trail makin prior to the Grand Opening. Your clubs will layout a trail(s) that cater to their respective club member’s needs and wants. Your club then may place sign(s) at the beginning of each of the trailheads that you created to help promote your club membership base……But most importantly……braggin rights. What club will create the most talked about trail(s)?? Ever wanted to build your own series of trails tailored for your rig? Now you can!!!

The trail system boundaries will be clearly marked. You are free to cut trails anywhere within this area. There are some amazing areas to create some awesome trails……get there first and it’s yours to cut!
This weekend will only be open to Members of offroad clubs and their guests. You must pre-register in order to be allowed into the trail system for the special sneak peak of the developing trail system.

You may pre-register by e-mailing DirtyTurtleOffroad@gmail.com with your name, what city and state you are coming from, the club you are a member of, and what type of rig you drive.

Trailered rigs are also welcome as well this weekend as we have more than enough parking!!!!

Primitive Camping will be allowed for those wishing to stay overnight to really knock out some trails.

Once DTOR opens to the public on April 10th, we will ask people to vote for their favorite trail. The winning club who made the favorite trail will receive a free year pass for each club member that participated in TRAIL CUTTIN DAZE!!!! The more trails you make the better your chances….the more members that participate the more trails you can make……which means the more FREE YEAR PASSES we can give away. Winning club will be announced First Weekend in December.

We thank each club that has already reached out to us offering your help in making DTOR something to be proud of. We have had an outpouring of e-mails and messages on private forums wanting to be part of TEAM DTOR.

What a better way for all of us to come together for a day of trail cutting and unite as an offroad community….and have some competitive fun braggin as to who has the best trail(s)!!!

We look forward to meeting you all face to face!

I went up and checked the place out this past weekend at the "trail cutting daze". It is very well laid out considering it is only 270 acres. We were able to cut about 4 trails and saw potential for many more. (I will be back if they ever let us cut trails there again) Lots of good hill climbs, and valleys that are going to get much more interesting as they get some traffic on them. There are a couple of waterfalls that have mutiple lines up them to challenge just about any rig. There are some mud holes and a old dirt bike track that is a blast to play on. Going over whoops and jumps made for a dirt bike is all kinds of fun in a truck or buggy. I did not see a lot of extremely hard core rock crawling there yet, but the potential is there as some of the washes erode away a little bit. It definitly had enough trails to keep a group busy for a full day if not a couple of days. I plan on going back at least a couple of times a year. It is definitly worth checking out if you live in the Louisville, Cincinnatti, Lexingtion area.
