Would your club be interested in adopting a trail at Big rock?
What are the expectations and commitments involved in adopting a trail?

Kind of like the "Adopt a Highway" thing. Tree trimming along the trail, that kind of thing. Trash isn't really an issue here since our riders do a great job of keeping it clean. If you are so inclined, you can blaze a few new trails to your liking also. We'll even put up a trail sign with CORE on it!
The deal is; you work on your trail(s), then you get free riding in return. You keep track of which club members do the work (nobody wants freeloaders riding on someone else's hard work).
How does that sound to you?

We will discuss it at our next meeting and I'll let you know how it goes.

If nobody else around here is interested, you can watch the TORC boards and ride along with those guys. (Though I'd love to see a CORE group out there, too!)
Once I finish the engine swap, I'll be heading out.
I'll be sure to post up.

All I have at home rite now is my quad and I don't trust the tires on my truck to get me there and back. I'm gettin new tires on monday so I guess I'll have to pass this ride and maybe I can make the next one!

I have decided to make it a day trip, myself as well. I am loading my trailer this evening cause I'm really not a morning person.

About 60 miles east of downtown. 50 miles from my house, took me about an hour-ten or so. So yeah, 1.5 from the west side.
The terrain I've seen reminds me of Hillz-n-Hollarz, but there are supposed to be ravines in the back part that a Jeep won't make, period.
I know, it sounds like a dare to me, too.

curious if anyone went over this weekend for all the rain?
ready to go, but not into tearing up land anymore than I have to. with all the rain I expect to ability to tread lightly wasn't in mother nature's cards.
