Hey I was told about a place in Oxford to go wheeling by a guy at work. never knew there was such a place in Oxford?..so I had to check it out and it turns out its a really cool place we only wheeled for about 4 hours but there is tons more tails to be run. we had a blast I will post up some vids..so far it is about the same terrain as haspin for the most part. they charge $10.00 it has mild and some fairly tough stuff. we only covered small portion of the trails.

Went there YEARS ago, it was alright, tight trails. A buddy flopped his XJ there on that trip...
I'm sure it has changed & we did not see that ledge in the video while we were there.

I would totally like to check this place out on the quads. What is the deal there? Is it an actual offroad park? How big or small is it? like in acres???

Dont know how big it is for sure yet, the person who took the money claimed it was 250 acres of trails he also said 60 miles of trails?? maybe he ment there was 60 trails ?..that I can see on the map. I have the google map link above so you can view the area. I wheeled at DTOR couple weeks ago and found the trails their to be much tighter compaired to this place. but all this is subjective of course. it seems faily large area. but it is another place to wheel and very close to me , like 15 min or so. thats a big deal for me and I will go back in couple weeks as we had tons of fun and it seems like there are hours of trails there. on my way out I did meet a group of guys with trailered jeeps that just arrived, they tell me I only scrached the suface and they told me about many trails ,climbs and mud holes that we didnt get to yet. bottom line we liked it and will go back .you just go there and drive back the road to the clearing and there is a house and barns. you pay them $10.00 and go wheeling. just a private wheeling area that from what I understand has been in use for over 15 years. its about 4 miles out of Oxford on 732, on the right side of the road, right at the county sign.

The guy there said they are there 7 days a week and you can come anytime.
you have to be out before dark, also the guys I talked to that day said they come up durring the week and run. so with that I have to say you can go any day any time. no calls requierd.

its been awhile since i been there, but i cruised over in my xj and scouted it out alittle to see if it looked to be worth draggin the trail rigs over on trailers. even back then i thot it looked like it would be a good time. i followed some kids on quads for a little while but decided to not go too far in since there were no othre trucks there at the time.
that creek in the videos definately looked sweet. this hill was cool, too, tho the pic doesnt do it justice:
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y269/scotty85/coolhill3.jpg
the line to the left was a real steep ledge at the bottom, idk if it was even doable, lol. the line to the right might be doable if you arent afraid to run over some small trees ;)
and a couple other that are still up on my photo bucket

I went out there last weekend with my son and father. It was fun on the Quads. Really its a great place to take the family for some easy riding. Not really all great for trucks from what I can tell. They have 208 Acres accoring to the owner but I would be willing to say 2/3 of it is crop fields that are off limits.
I will no doubt go back as its close and my 10yr. old son and my 60yr. old dad can run it.

I've been there about 4 times. I was told the name was Shelton's Farm. Don't take anything you don't want scratched up real bad. Some of the trails are very tight. If DTOR is worse than this, I'll make sure I don't go there. There are some good hills, and the creek is alright. It's not very challenging for a capable rig, unless it's muddy. If I wasn't 25 mins away, I wouldn't go there. It's cheap and close to me. It is small, mostly farm land...
This is where I got the Cliff Diver name. We were coming back up the creek and went up this little hill to the left of the S bend and ended up dropping back in the creek from a 10' to 12' drop off. I was lucky the truck didn't flip over. I somehow punched the gas when the truck hit nose first and ended up on all fours. I told the owner someone is going to get killed there, so he dragged a bunch of trees in front of it.
No waivers. Tool Man got his semi and 52' trailer in there, so there is plenty of room for trailers. It's 10 bucks a person. No bathrooms, just the great outdoors...

I still cringe when I think about it. LOL. It's a very weird feeling when the land dissapears and you start falling... Going up the hill all we saw was sky, then all we saw was the bottom of the creek bed.

I went in that same creek years ago following another jeep & he ended up on his roof off that cliff. Pretty scary with no roll cage! Came down in the creek right behind me... wow, just figured out that was 6 years ago! http://www.terrainstompers.com/photos/main.php?g2_itemId=191
Driver of that jeep was ok, had a goose egg, but otherwise pretty good shape for the roof being at dash-level.

There was some people out the night riding awhile before that that went straight off it in the center of the bend in a basically stock k5 and destroyed it. I don't think they fared as well as you did.

I just went here today. The trails are only narrow in a few spots. Wayne passed away so it is now his brother Arron i believe was his name. Had a blasts except for me almost rolling my jeep. Although small vehicles like jeeps can fit on the trails, it mostly seems like an atv or side-by-side trail setup.

Anybody been out there...still open? Crazy ownership/operator?
They've got multiple facebook pages that seem to be batteling ..one claiming to be the authentic park web site and the other seems to be the old owners/operators trying to submarine any success the new management might have?
My son got a new ATV and he's looking for a close (30 min.) and easy place to motor around and get his feet wet.
Any info..or would you just avoid that train wreck at all costs?

Yeah..I'm not a bookofaces guy so a borrowed my wife's to read the drama..it's messed up.
After reading all the s*it from both parties it's pretty obvious there are plants making comments for both sides on both pages...it's like a Pirate thread.

I took the rzr last summer with my neighbor and didn't have any problems. A girl came out to get our money.
Group of kids I work with went there 5/6 months ago and said no management of any type was there...just pulled in an road most of the day before some dude showed up and charged them all $10. They where all drinking so he made them all ..get this..hold up their right hand and swear to not hold BMF liable if they get hurt! Guy then sticks the cash in his pocket , jumps back in his car and leaves.
They told me the place was covered in trash and that ratty old trailer was all opened up and looked like it was inhabited by a group of homeless people.
When I first heard the story I thought it was BS but after today I'm thinking It was the truth. Same group of kids are going out this weekend from the rumors around the shop so I'll see how it turns out for them. Right now there's no way in hell I'm letting my son anywhere near that place.
