Wondered why it wasn't already....
The Ohio Department of Transportation on Tuesday said traffic crews this week are installing signs to indicate the speed limit on I-275 between Winton and Montgomery roads is 65 miles-per-hour.
The speed limit is being increased because work on the Interstate 275 East-West Express construction project is about done.
The reconstruction has taken four years and has made this section of I-275 eligible for the raised speed limit. The speed limit is 65 mph on the remaining stretch of I-275 that falls under Ohio’s jurisdiction.
Crews on the East-West Express project still have to install permanent pavement markings. Completion is targeted for July 31, 2010.
