I thought it would be longer before I got another rig... but I couldn't pass this one up. built it a couple years ago for a friend (as some of you will recall), and he wanted out of it, so I picked it up. Gets me back to the roots a little bit, and give me something to tinker with and take the family out wheeling in...

http://www.sigmamotorsports.com/ImageFolio4_files/gallery/Shop_Projects/Off_Road_Projects/Copper_CJ_Round_2/copperRound2_001.jpg

Completely rust free CJ7, tub and frame, etc... not a spot of it.
SBC 406, Brodix aluminum heads, Holley Stealth Ram intake, etc...
Built 700R4
Atlas 4.3
Dana 60 front with lockright, Dana 70 rear welded posi
MRT beadlocks
39.5 TSL's
PRP seats
Full cage tied to frame thru sliders
SOA on BDS springs. 2.5 or 4", not sure.
Shackle reversal
Blah blah blah, etc.

Lots of plans, excited to have a real jeep again.
Doing plate corners and sides in 3/16, and Rear tube flares, paint matched
New dash, body paint matched
Need to put a back seat in it
Needs some serious Fuel Injection tuning
Might build a new cage for it
Extend sliders for a nicer step
repaint all silver stuff either dark gray or black
Lose the huge boner bar....
etc etc etc...

Or maybe i should just leave it alone and wheel it.

Or maybe i should just leave it alone and wheel it.

I certainly wouldn't tear it too far down, but you're right: the "boner-bar" could really go...

Oh, I'm old enough to remember when they were "popular," a trend that has now (thankfully!) run its course...

"Cool" is a little more timeless.

Like, I dunno, a CJ7 on on 39s.

:beers:

I remember stretching it's springs in the parking lot of Perkins in Cold Springs. Geesh that was a long time ago. That stinger was huge and he caught hell for it but it just fit that jeep some how. That was th first jeep I ever thought hmm 44's are too small.
