lookin good. some of the pics are grainy- when that rear truss is done id like to see some close ups on that! are you leaving the belly as is or moving it around any?

I hope to leave the belly as is. I have noticed I will more than likely have to run a 2 pc front drive shaft and may end up having to move the front tube on that side of the belly, but not sure just yet....
After CHRISTMAS, (NOT HOLIDAY) I should be able to proceed pretty quickly. Shocks should be here next week, order some tube from RED 9, order my 6x3x1/4 rect tube for the trusses, 8 more 7/8" rod ends from Ruffstuff and get it in roller form and take it to my sheet metal guy to help with the firewall, floors and all....

Not much progress. Waiting on my fuel cell and radiator to get them mounted.
I did get my aluminum tube welded up for my coolant lines and got them mounted. They have -16 fittings on them. I will have -16AN threaded connections at the motor, on the tube and on the radiator with SS braided flex hose between engine and tube and tube and radiator.

I will be bringing the floor pan all the way back under the seat so it will be between the seat and the tubing... Shouldnt let too much heat to the seat...

Well got to work on the buggy a little today... Picked up my Transmission on Friday, got my -16 fittings welded on my radiator this week and I finally got my fuel cell.
So I mounted the Fuel cell and mounted some motor mounts to the back of the heads on the motor.
Waiting on my radiator mounts to get it mounted and need to figure out a mount for my steering ram and pick up a set of High steer arms so I can get the steering mounted....
Also got my crawlfab beadlocks welded up and my steering valve mounted...

Its been a while since I have updated this. It is still in Ft Smith, I have CGYS doing quite a bit more than we originally planned, because I have been very busy with kids and sports.
They got all the headers built and exhaust is half way back. They are pretty sweet.
I didnt like the front truss and ram mount I had made so I had them get an ARTEC front truss and ram mount and put it on.... BEEFY..
4340 35 spline inner and outer shafts on the front 60 with Yukon Super Joints
Reid Knuckles
Artec High Steer arms
Yukon Drive flanges
I swapped out the rear 60 for a 70U with Artec truss and disc brakes as well
5.13 gears with Detroit
Front 2 piece Tom Woods driveshaft
Rear Tom Woods Driveshaft
1350 throughout
Rock equipment sway bar in the back
Mounting my Radiator
Swapped out the RaceTrim seats for PRP Competition High Back in the extra wide size with Ostrich Skin....
Also sold the steel beadlocks and bought a new set of aluminum Raceline beadlocks and a set of 40" Trepadors to go on it....
and looking at some other things as well.
I will get some pics up in the next few days....
shooting for fall to get it on the trail...

I thought he did a very good job on the headers. The driver side runs forward on the rear cylinder to try and get as much foot room as possible.....

Bling! Hey what's the bs on ur racelines, and how far away from artec arms are they? Maybe artec site tell me max bs... if I can fit I'm gonna go that rout
oklahomawelder
06-29-2011, 03:48 PM
I will have to find out the BS... They are about 1.5-2" away from the arms...
They ARTEC stuff is VERY nice....and I really like the outcome of everything put together on the front end...
The 35 spline 4340 yukon shafts and superjoints really fill up the space between the C and knuckle..... You can see it in 1 of the pics.....

Made a little progress on the buggy today.
The driver side floor is complete. .125" 3003 aluminum
Going to work on the passenger side this weekend. The tube under the aluminum and the aluminum will both be removable to allow easy removal of the transmission and the atlas out the passenger side fo the chassis.
Then I need to figure out the firewall and mount the steering and transmission coolers and start the tear down for welding....
