Alright, I know this a dead horse and it has been beatin a ton, but I am planning on doing this and want to see what others have done. I have read several posts on different forums but it seems they all miss the specifics or everyone uses a different setup.

Here is what I got, a pair of:
'79 Cadillac Eldorado calipers w/e-brake and w/ caddy mounting bracket
and
'86 Cadillac Eldorado calipers w/e-brake and w/caddy mounting bracket
*I am leaning towards using the '79 calipers.

When I put the 79 mounting bracket next to the axle flange on my AMC20 it appears that I may only need to redrill the holes slightly larger and re-locate one hole on the bracket. Then cut an opening so the bracket can slide over the axle tube or shaft depending how it all lines up with the rotor.

What I was wondering:
- Why don't people use the stock mounting bracket from the donor 79 caddy? I know the 86 bracket is very different and will require an adapter plate. All of the ones I have seen make a bracket to mount the caliper.
- What rotor have others used? The stock caddy rotor is 1.04" thick so I need something at that thickness, then the bolt pattern, and opening to slip over the axle flange.

So let me know what you guys have seen done before. If you got P/N's great or at least the year, make, and model from where the parts came from.

Thanks,
Frank
