ehh I thought about going.
Last time I went it was mostly ricers with the exception of a few nice muscle and some stupidly lifted shiny trucks , and of course the "rat rods"
I think ill put n some time on the one ton swap. Should be rolling by this weekend so I can tear it down and get er geared.

hard to cool that motor...
Rat rods are just as gay as any of the other junk down there. The only difference is those guys don't cover their booger welds with bondo and an overpriced paint jobs.

I personally like some of the rat rod stuff... it's neat seeing some of that stuff repurposed.

i like most of the stuff up there, its people just like us with a different style drive line, we are all gear heads ... things are gona be trendy its a car show.. it be like coming to a off road event with a rod and calling us off road dorks.. The only **** i dont care for is the Spade built stuff, i think they destroy nice cars. Just my opinion

yup ...x2 on spade crap. although i was diggin the flat black big rig.
the guy with the mechanical bull let me climb under it and see how it operates. that was cool.ive been wanting to build one for years and got most of the electric over hydraulic figured out but theres one pivot operation i just cant get. and of course my phone cam dosent have a flash so it dident come out. i did verify its a true 10 way joystick/ manifold on control panal though.http://img.tapatalk.com/6b2ff0ba-a104-eeea.jpg

I liked some stuff from every style down there, except the ones that can't be driven. My first comment was tongue in cheek because everytime I see a thread about car shows its usually full of people ripping on every car there. But I guess thats what the interweb was invented for huh?

I remember them being yj's too... That movie is to old for them to be TJ's ain't it?
Yea they can ruin some nice vehicle at Spade's, but i have always been a car audio nerd and some of the stuff they do is not too bad... But some of it can be pretty over the top...
I might run down there later today? What's it cost to get in this?

Ironically we rented a movie last night and it had an advertisement for the Jurassic Park movie set that showed the YJ's a couple of times.

The best in the show had to be the 1966 gt40 and the 07 gt40 both in black. Very nice!

The black gt40 was money. I wish they had parked the two of them side by side.

Traditional hot rods are my thing. I saw quite a few down there that I would own, quite a few I wouldnt. Everything outside of the 'nostalgia' rods IMHO were just trailer queens (besides some of the Hilltoppers display)
Also, I saw the JP Jeep too. The movies used YJs, the little card that has vehicle info by every car said it was a '93. BUT If i remember correctly it had coils under it, not leaves... Somebody musta titled it wrong :rolleyes:
