prefer to sell entire half together but if big enuff peices are bought may seperate. have recieipt showing data info as uhmw, not the lesser grade hdpe. also showing what i paid($462) yesterday. not making money on this,i just coudent justify paying for them to cut and sell me half a sheet cause it would be 2/3 the price of a full sheet lol.

lookin to sell asap. need cash to support my habit:)

ok so heres the deal.... someone slipped some jack in my coke when i wasent looking and so i needed to cut some peices twice....

so not quite half sheet left. in pics u can see red line i traced? the big rectangle peice from that line over is 35 x 48". thats basicaly whats left.

in addition, buyer is welcome to the other scrap peices in pics. the one long one is 6x 39 ...thinner as it tapers obviously. this be great as a rocker slider or whatever
i also have the barely used plastic cutting skillsaw blade buyer can have it also. if u think u can use these peices pm me or text me. thanx!http://img.tapatalk.com/6b2f77d1-a289-9c4f.jpg

So this stuffs good enough to use as a skid with no metal reinforcement. If so ill take some measurements tonight and might be interested for right price.

Had a quad once that came with a skid made of this stuff or something very similar. Worked really well for the 4 wheeler

its gone...brody jacobs picked it up.

but yeah its good stuff. i heard flxrtd even lines his roof with it;)......its 7 times more abrasion resistant than steel. but not stronger than steel as far as load bearing-you still have to support it decently underneath .

yer saying that the uhmw will wear away 7x slower than plate steel? This sounds fishy...

It's plastic...

All depends on the application. I work with this stuff every day, except in fiber form. Some applications it will outlast steel 10 to 1, others you would be better off with steel. It is all in the marketing of it too. If it outlasts steel in one test then you can claim the 7x factor, you just have to figure out what the asterisk next to it means.

UHMWPE is the same stuff your synthetic winch ropes are made of, and 99% of the braided fishing lines on the market. It truly is an amazing material when used for the right application.

Right, on the bottom of a buggy contacting rocks all the time, it's not gonna outlast steel.

Don't get me wrong, UHMW is awesome as a skid plate, it's the perfect material... BUT it's not going to outlast steel in that application. Other applications, for sure, but not as a skid.

I'm not an expert on anything and don't mistake me for caring, but the point of it is that it will slide over things like rocks easier than steel. That might have been what I was told back in the 80's, but I was very young then:rolleyes::D
