I am needing someone in the next couple weeks to weld my spring perch onto the center section. There is only one I need this done on.

You can do it. It is all about preheating the cast and controlling to cool down so it does not cool too fast and crack.

i have done it a few times and not hold a problem... Like Biggin said just make it is nice and hot and try to let it cool as slow as possible... the stuff i have done has been smaller stuff and i could just put it in the oven at 450 for about 15 minutes and then take it out and go right to the welder... I don't think i would try it with a 110 welder tho...
:beers:

A Rosebud is your best friend for this kind of work.
I used a torpedo heater, mig welded it, put it in front of the heater again and pulled it away to cool it down. I know mig isn't the best, but it was nothing important.
