I will be coming back in town for the 3 and 4 of July and was looking at re gearing the HP30 I have at the house to 4.88. Does anyone want to help or show me how to. I will reimburse you for.you time with a case of your beer or even cash. I will help cause I want to learn. If anyone is up for it let me know. I will be ordering Yukon gears tonight and i have a 3.73 and up carrier already at the house. All that needs done is pull the old and install the new.

Make sure you get master install kits with new bearings. I never install gears without "new" set-up bearing either.
Do you have a bearing puller? press? you'll need a dial gauge with magnetic mount, and an inch-lb. torque wrench then your good to go!

I have a brand new carrier I will go ahead and buy the dial gauge w magnetic mount and torque wrench I just wont have the press.
I will be ordering the superior 4.88 ring and pinion and master install kit tonite and ill go get the tools as well.
Will superior ring and pinion be good or should spend the extra 50bux and get a Yukon set.
