People from all around will be there on that date. I am going the week before or after. What is the occasion on that date? People on other sites are talking it up too! I want to go and cover some ground on not so busy of a day.

hmmm, a packed crowded weekend may not be the best time for rails down there... Brandon and I had planned on going, but not if it's going to be crazy packed... maybe livingston that same date? It's the only weekend i have available in october...

if all else falls thru, we still might do harlan, but i don't dont know how rail friendly the terrain is, can anyone help me out with that?

how far is livingston? My 4 year old is having trouble sleeping because he can't stop thinking about 4-wheelin' with dad. (I told him this summer we'd go in the fall.) If Livingston isn't too far away, that may be the ticket to get him sleeping again.

What's Livingson terrain like? Will 35" ATs work or not-a-chance? I have been putting off the TSLs bacause I still need to do some last minute tinkering - clutch, front antiwrap, attach sliders. I jsut has hernia surgery yesterday, so I've got that hurdle to clear too.

I hope I can make that trip. We'll see. I look forward to meeting some new folks.

That weekend still works well for us (and appears others). Would have been tricky for another weekend. Come on with us to Livingston. When will Marilyn know if she'll be able to go? (Course that's provided girlz is allowed and Truggy hasn't corrupted everyone else. )

Ok. Same weekend but going to Livingston. Sounds good to me. Where are we going to camp. Remember, the field on the 80 side has been closed down. The 909 side looked a little rough to get to. Any Ideas?

Marilyn has a family reunion to attend in Tenn. that weekend. Trying to talk her out of going. Wheeling is WAY more important than family reunions.(Just Kidding) but she will not know for sure for a few more weeks.

Lisa, Marilyn said she will e-mail you tomorrow.

Camping is a problem right now. I am researching alternative spots now. The motorcross site would allow us to park but the land is not flat anywhere and a monetary fee is required.

Kevin Carder , Shawns brother , has said that CORE can camp on his property , he is in Mt. Vernon . short drive to 909 on trails or road ! :) or has anyone talked to the owner of the 49er ?, I think someone from the club was trying to get a hold of them to see if we could camp at the field by the Shell station.

Just to be clear ! are we planning on going to Livingston on Oct. 19-21 ?

And yes sarge, I am looking at the 19-21. I would do harlan, but the rail will be on a fresh trans rebuild etc, and i need to prove it before i drive that far, and just not sure how great harlan is gonna be for a rail, etc.

Perhaps we should start a new livingston trail run thread.

It is for sure that I asked and it is for sure that they said was ok to stay in the back.
But i did it when i pulled up to get fuel
so that might have swayed their vote....
but they have told us this before, and we stayed there before.......has been a while.
I probably wouldn't try to push the issue with a fire or something......

I probably ride Harlan more than anyone and I've never seen it where you couldn't get around in the park and I've been there for every major event we've had.

The way the park is laid out you can't really get blocked in, every major obstacle has room for spectators and a bypass.

thought the guy in the yellow rig still hadn't made it...

anyways...

is it an issue of rollover risk, or is just not being able to crest the last bit at the top, and having to back down?

Several people have done CremePuff but only when it was very dry. Pony Hill and Upper Damnation will be wild in a rail.

OK ! I got Friday off and don't have to qualify on Sat. morning ,,,,, So as long as the funds are availible I will be leaving out Friday Morning. I have not decided if I'm bringing the RV or not do to gas $$$. If I do bring it I should have a few spots open to crash. If not we be tenting it !!

I have to see Carwash on CremePuff , maybe a repeat of the shoots at 909 !!!

Sarge, if you are unable to bring the rv and do not want to bother with a tent I will have the enclosed trailer (barn) with me. You can sleep in there if you want as long as you don't snore!

sarge
09-27-2007, 08:03 PM
Well that sounds like a plan , but the snoring and my beer intake are directly connected to each other :D or so I've been told .. My snoring has never bothered me

You've got mail !!
