I'm looking for a good rifle range or two. Ive heard Randy's Range in Sparta, Ky is ok but I haven't made the drive there yet. Anyone heard anything on this place?
Unfortunately I don't have any private land to waste my ammo on yet so where does everyone go shooting?

Rush run is a shotgun clay target only range I believe. Lake balie is a joke, imo. Brookville Lake has a super nice range.
I go to Spring Valley, you will need a permit 5 bucks a day or 25 for a year and the year is up in Feb I think.

I shoot at Southington Hunt Club . Also known as Southington Off Road. Used to be called Jeepskool. Located in Garrettsville N.E. Ohio. Outdoor range but you can shoot full automatics and artilary cannons. Awesome place.

The range in Sparta is good. A lot of former police and military shoot down there.

Thanks guys, these are good leads. Brookville and Randys sounds like the range I used to go to in NC. Garrettsville is a little far of a drive just to shoot for a day.
For Spring Valley, do you buy the permit at the range or do you have to get it from a hunting license dealer?
