Lost the bolts on that steering arm connected to the bottom of the knuckle. Broke one off. Ordering new cone washers tomorrow from cdan or Sam Lowe tomorrow and will see what I can do

Can't get it off the trailer so outside it is. Hopefully it goes together well. Cone washers should be here by the end of the week.
|
So you've been retightening those bolts constantly since the Tour?
May try some locktite this time... :beers: |
Those are studs with nuts. I put red loctite on the nuts and that seem to fix it. This time the studs backed out. I'm going to replace them with bolts

Tapatalk says I have exceeded my limit on picture posting I wish I could post up some pictures of this. 2 of the 4 studs have snapped off inside the knuckle. I guess they backed out a little bit and got loose. The brackets on the bottom of the knuckle use cone washers to locate them. I have new washers coming. Hopefully I can weld nuts to the broken of studs Loctite some bolts tightened it all up and be done with it

the thing i think is weird is it seems to only be the 80 front ends that do it...
|
I never really looked at my 62 but are the rest of them set up this way?
It may have something to do with the 80's being awd |
