Yup qualifies as a pup. I'm 40. :)

Robert my dear...I think you have memory issues. Refer to your age a couple posts up. Thought you ran out of beer...

WrenchMonkey 05-25-2009 12:06 AM

See, I was trying to cover for ya...

And I knew you'd been "holding" longer. I just figured 29 was a pretty good spot to stop counting, for both of us...

tjjeepjeep 05-25-2009 12:07 AM

Nah I'm old. It's ok. But thanks for the thought.

GT MOTORSPORTS 05-25-2009 12:29 AM

Hey 40 isnt old...to me its just right......

WrenchMonkey 05-25-2009 12:38 AM

Oh geez...

(I think you're a little late, though... I think the old lady done went to bed!)

GT MOTORSPORTS 05-25-2009 12:42 AM

ah its all good i was just razzing her..it is getting late for us first shifters. Im glad to have chatted with ya'll as long as I did. I didnt think on my first post id have 26 posts already in one day... so how often does the club go wheeling?

WrenchMonkey 05-25-2009 12:56 AM

I don't know that they do a formal club trip every month, but there are guys that get together at least that often. When the weather's nice, it's twice a month or even every weekend.

I think a lot of the club runs tend to be farther out: Harlan, Badlands, Redbird.

I personally like to stay closer to home, Haspin and 491, which is my new favorite.

I try to get out at least once a month.

Keep an eye on the "Trail Runs and Events" Forum, there's always something cooking!

See ya!

Robert

Lynchburg, huh your not too far from me. I'm by stonelick lake.

tjjeepjeep 05-25-2009 10:10 AM

It was getting way to late for me (that coupled with the lemonade's).

Club gets out monthly. But others post up if they're heading somewhere. Ours tend to be overnight/father away. But many others do the ones closer to home. Depends on what you're looking for, but I'm betting at some point you can find it. Terrain Stompers has some day runs as well, might check their board out too. http://terrainstompers.com/forum/

Thanks for the heads up. As far as to what Im looking for...I dont care if I drove an hour to wheel for 30 minutes...I just love wheeling my jeep.

I think it is pretty cool when you build something from the ground up and get to wheel it.

I just want to get out more than once a year, which has been the norm for the last couple years.

I didnt build my jeep just to look cool running down the road....I dont get into concrete mudding or mall crawling..lol.
I have checked into the trail rides and always check them out first thing..

I will check out the other site thanks!

Well, from your house, it'll likely be at least a couple hours, even to Haspin or 491.

But it's not so bad really, two hours there, six or eight on the trail, two home.

Ten or twelve hour day playing is better than eight hour day working!

Hope to see you soon!

Robert

I love driving so that doenst bother me. I have been to haspin a few years ago...it is a couple from here... Your right as far as 12 hours wheeling is better than 8 hours working!!

Stop light? Heck, not only did the town I grew up in not have any stop lights, they didn't even have a 4-way stop. All the main road through the middle of town had as a reduced speed limit of 45 mph.

Haven't been in Lynchburg since high school...we used to play them in basketball.
