Windrock July 2018

Our trip to Windrock

WrenchMonkey 06-06-2018 07:59 PM

Oh. We had talked about getting back to Rush for 4th of July. Guess not?

WrenchMonkey 06-06-2018 09:14 PM

S'all good, we were supposed to do Rush again for Labor Day anyway.

93 Krawler 06-07-2018 01:27 PM

I really wanted to hit windrock this year, so no Rush for me.
Group going so far is Pat, Chris, Mark, Crawford, Ben, and me.
This group hits the hardest stuff we can find. If you're not into broken parts and body damage then you might not want to try then follow this group.
There will be two razors in this group and we will most likely just do some fast pace cruising through the trails and get as far out as we can in the park and Explore.

If you are into just small climb or easy trails, you may want to think twice about running with this group. Kevin and I, if not running extreme stuff with buggies will be blazing trails averaging 30 to 40 MPH. :rotf:

I'll be leaving mid to late morning on thurs and hope to be camping down by the bath house.

I'm working on getting the day off for Thursday so I can head out in the am also.

93 Krawler 06-08-2018 08:44 PM

I will take off Thursday so I can leave in the am too. 9 am sounds good.
Looks like we will be camping in 2 different spots. Mark. Ben, and Jimmy will be camping primitive, and Pat, Chris, and I will be in the full RV hookups.

Moved the cook out discussion to members only.

As long as you can dodge the 3' diameter rocks littered all over the "easy" trails you should be good!

Smiddy24 06-11-2018 05:07 PM

I will not be able to attend this one. I need new shocks first.

It depends on if he can move his radiator in time. I may be able to attend this run, but I can't get off Thursday or Friday.

Smiddy24 06-13-2018 07:19 AM

Also depends on if he wants to run out there since we just got back from Moab. Was a very expensive trip for me since I had to buy a new Electric fan and driveshaft..

For those that haven't been there before, do not take any other route off 75 other than exit 122 "TN-61 W/N Charles G Seivers Blvd" You will hate life if you do. My GPS lies every time I go.

Me too. Me and my heavy ass box truck and my heavy chevy rolling through the trail at night. That was totally not cool...

Really looking forward to this. Zach and I have never been there

Do you have more direct directions? Or if I take this exit will
My GPS direct me correctly from there to the campground?
