Pulleys and Belt

OK check out my christmas gift thread in general. In some more testing I can not seem to keep the belt from slipping. I tighten it down and the motor moves just enough to cause problems. the pump is in a fixed position and can not be adjusted. I have tightened the Heck out of it. To the point of mangaling metal.

I guess I need some type of idler wheel or tensioner. But after inspecting several other compressors at the store none of them have one.

So now what? I don't want to tack weld it. What if I stuck a piece of rubber between the motor and the sub frame do you think the compression and friction will be enough to hold it?

Thanks

Paul

Run 2 belts and pulleys or run a spring loaded idler pulley maybe.
