Very easy. All personal settings are done in the User Control Panel, or User CP. You can get to this by clicking the words "User CP" in the top left of the forum layout. It should be visible on every page. See image.

Once you click that, you will be given a full list of things you can modify etc. See image.

Most of these are self explanatory just by reading them. It's a good idea to go through all of them and just make sure you have the board working for you the way that you want it to. You can have popup notifications of PM's etc, there is lots there, so take a look at it. If anyone needs more help than this, let me know.
