Christmas Lights

Any good neighborhoods or streets or houses that must be seen with awesome Christmas light displays?

Lights are bright and shiney and...O Look a kitty :D

Niederman Farm on Lesourdesville West Chester Road has a free walk-thru display, plus farm animals for the kids to see/touch. Smith Park in Middletown has a large walk/drive-thru display. Both are open from 6 or 7 to 10 IIRC. A little bit north for most of you, but both are free & big.

Pyramid hill sculpture park ($20 bucks) has a fairly nice light display that you drive through with music. They are located in Hamilton, Ohio.

isn't there some guy up your way that puts on a helluva light show every year? it even made the national news last year.

His house got shut down two years ago, maybe?... in a beer commercial that year, IIRC. I thought that he had a pay-to-drive-through display?? that was not continued this year.

Mini-broadcast of Trans-Siberian-Orchestra song in sync with the lights... I think it may have been Pete (83bronc?) that posted it up two years ago, I thought it was awesome, found out that it wasn't too far from where I work... missed it by 15 minutes one night... got shut down soon after. :(

The guy lived in my brother-in-laws neighborhood just a couple streets away. They shut it down because the whole neighborhood turned into a giant traffic jam every evening and the residents couldn't get in and out of their houses, and there were several fender benders. I'm not sure where it is, but I believe he has it set up somewhere else.

Yes Brad I believe it was me.
It was in the big park in mason but I do not know if it was continued this year or not.

It's amazing what sticks in my head and what just slips out like ice cream on a hot summer day. I have no idea why I remember that. Dinner two nights ago... no idea.

I think Cincinnati Zoo does a wonderful Christmas display. Plus they put on a few shows and have ice skating for the kids at a reasonable price.

carwash 12-12-2008 02:16 PM

Yes, the zoo...

We just became members this year. Will be doing the Festival of Lights probably next weekend. Can't wait.

MrShoeBoy 12-13-2008 03:01 PM

So the light festival at the zoo is pretty good? I have been to the zoo several times in the last year and each time was a blast. I will have to check that out.

Festival of lights at the zoo was pretty good this year. Just went saturday and it was better this year than last year. There was a guy there sat. that had lights set up to propose.
