Natrual Bridge trip

OK I plan on going on the March trip to the bridge , Who is planning on going ? I know it's early but it's also winter time and I know how much work we all get done on our rigs in the cold :D

ride

trees are real bad right now sarge. i think a few of us plan a trip to clear some trails in a few days. gabby

sarge 02-15-2009 01:48 PM

I didn't think about that , hopefully there clear by the end of March.

94Dodge Truggy 02-15-2009 03:42 PM

I am definitely going and will have the saws in the jeep as usual ready. Some trees to climb over may be a good thing. I am camping at the creek area. Hopefully the weather holds out for this. The area before carb hill called rattlesnake I think is down right naaaaasty  ! Tombstone right past hatbox is dug out and even easier to make your back side pass your front side. Can't wait!!! :beers:

They should be mostly clear by then. We are going on a clean-fest here in a couple weeks.

mike shelton 02-15-2009 06:21 PM

I have a street legal wrangler with 42'' irocs and fox coilovers on a dual triangulated 4 link setup. You replace your buggy with something yet Gabby?

sarge 02-15-2009 08:26 PM

I was there the day after thanksgiving with the barn and had no problems. You will be fine I would say.

cincygman 02-15-2009 09:48 PM

My mom has some land down in that area. She hasn't been down there for a couple of years now and I was thinking about going down there sometime in march to check it out. Don't know if I'll be up for any serious wheeling but it might be fun to catch up with everyone and do some bench wheeling:beers:

and upgrading your knuckles.
If you don't, I want to be the one that says " I told ya so"
http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showt...hlight=knuckle

mike shelton 02-17-2009 07:45 AM

mike shelton 02-28-2009 04:09 PM

all i can say is !!!!!!!! take a chain saw... gabby

Redriverranger 02-28-2009 07:30 PM

Most will be clear, but it appears they are still falling from being weakened. Bring your saws, just in case. We spent all day today clearing, but didn't get very far.

Where is the bridge at? Is it a members only trip?

sarge 03-03-2009 08:24 PM

The Bridge is Natural Bridge / Red River area located near Stanton Ky. It is about 2.5 hours from Cincy. All are welcome at any time on all CORE rides.

OK I got a question for Redriverranger or anyone that knows for that matter.

Do I have to notify anyone or get a camping permit to camp at the Sand lick Rd. area?

We never did before but I think I recall reading it on here or Pirate or JP a while back.

KargoMaster 03-11-2009 10:39 PM

I was down there several weeks ago, and talked with Boomhauer last night, but haven't heard that one yet...

Then again, Boomhauer's last trip out was when I was down there... but he's usually good about knowing what's going on...

Camping on either the left or right side of creek requires a $5.00 pass I heard. I was there ion november and everyone camping had no pass though and looked at me with the deer in the headlights kinda look.
