The TrailKeepers Foundation, a non profit organization founded in 2000, (made up mostly of OHV riders and is dedicated to creating and preserving multi-use recreational trails on public and private land) will be hosting a spring clean up on April 25, 2009 from 9am-3pm in conjuction with Pride (A program that promotes Personal Responsibility In a Desireable Environment in 38 counties in Southern and Eastern, Kentucky.)

Our target area is a tract of land (In Whitley County, Kentucky , near Williamsburg) that leads to the Cumberland River and is known to the locals as the “longbottoms.”

Volunteers are need to make this clean up a success. Come spend the day with other OHV riders and learn about the trails in your area and what you can do to help keep them open.

For more information or to sign up visit our website at www.trailkeepers.org or email info@trailkeepers.org

Lunch will be provided!

I just talked to Amanda from Trail keepers , she said the area is 300+- acres , they need to know how many are coming so food can be provided. It appears to be about 226 miles from me . If I go I would be leaving the house around 5:00am

The clean up is still happening, yes. At this time, I'm unsure how many CORE members are attending. If you're still interested in going, I can put you in touch with someone from Trailkeepers...

Hope Springs Hauler 04-21-2009 11:09 AM

Not to sound too greedy, but I just wanna 'wheel somewhere. I would go there or wherever some of our guys are going.

.........closer is better though. I gotta agree with Scott.

candctroll 04-21-2009 11:58 AM

yes the clean up is still on! If you are interested in going let me know...we want to make sure we have enough food and drinks on hand for everyone.

This will be a great time to meet some fellow wheelers and learn a new area.
