harlan vs winrock
I've been to harlan several times but never winrock
any coments thanks |
Both are great. I think Harlan has more
|
Agree both are great, both are HUGE and really require a guide of some sort... you could wonder around both places for days and not find any of the "well known spots."
As for the harder core stuff, I would have to agree with Tony... Though I still owe RattleRock (at CCMC) some of my time, so I will be going back there someday too. |
Can't comment on Windrock for a few weeks. but we enjoyed Harlan. Harlan seemed to be a lot of mild or very extreme, not a lot in between(at least that we found). Still a great place and I plan to go back, I just like to check out all the different places before revisiting the same place.

I've got Garmin overlay maps for both, I've not been to Windrock so many times as harlan, but both are great.

just got back from windrock it was fantastic. Got local info to take trail 12
and it was one of the best trails I've ever been on in my jeep. 16 river crossings huge elevation changes tight winding trails rocks rocks and more rocks mud mud mud gotta check it out :beers: |
Spent three days at Windrock this past weekend myself. I liked it better than Harlan, but it's been 3 years since I was in Harlan and we were not near as well built when we went to Harlan either.
Windrock seemed much easier to get around with lots of long trails. We were able to cover a lot of it, but I am sure there is stuff we missed. |
