do i need to drop transfer case to lift yj
I got an automatic yj doing a lift this weekend and need to know if i have to drop the transfer case or not for a smooth ride or will it be fine

how much lift?

4 in lift

Yeah, i would put on the spacers that come with the kit. And be prepared for the bolts to twist apart or the nuts inside the frame to break free when u loosen them.
or do a sye and longer rear ds., is another alternative.. Think there was one on c/l this month, btw |
didnt buy kit piecing it together just will have to make something:D
|
Try it with out the spacers , I've found that every YJ is different . My old one had a 4" lift and no spacers and it did not vibrate at all . I have installed lifts on several YJ's and TJ's and some have vibrations and need'em and some don't.

Another option is use a motor mount lift if you happen to have a body lift on. I ran a YJ that way for a while, it eliminates the need to lower the skidplate. I happen to have a used set of 1" lift motormounts for sale that will be going to the Cleves swap meet.

i will try nothing first and if i have to then i will drop it:beers:
