Radiator Repair Shop

Anyone know of any reputable radiator repair shops in the Cincinnati area? I had heard they can disassemble and clean them internally and make some minor repairs.

My radiator has been problematic and I don't have the cash for a new one. So I thought I would check out this route.

Cincinnati Radiator, in Fairfield (Port Union Rd near Baxter Pre-Cast, not far from Jungle Jims), did a great job with the repair. My lower hose connection was cracked pretty bad, one of the tubes in the core had a hole in it, and they even straightened out the upper hose connection. I got it all hooked backed up and filled it and its no longer leaking. Seems to hold pressure fairly well.

Thanks Rick for taking care of it for me.

Just curious, what was the price difference in the repair and a new one?

depends on what is done. If it has plastic tanks its cheaper to replace than having someone repair it. The new one comes with warrenty!

My repair was to braze the lower hose tube. It was cracked pretty bad. One of the tubes in the core had a hole in it. The upper hose connection was pretty bad shape they had to reshape it. Then they did a compression check and all was good. It cost me $65. A new replacement from 4wd or similar was in the $250+ range. At Advance Autoparts I could have picked one up for $150, they are on sale with 15% off (plus you will get a $50 coupon to use on your next purchase. It was a tough a decision to repair but I haven't heard any good news on the Advance Radiators.
