wifes van making noise

Drove my wifes van tonight and there is a noise and a vibration you feel in the wheel. It sounds like she has Mt tires on it. I jacked it up and the driver side has play in the wheel. Unit bearing bad?

Call me, you should still have my number

Unit bearing for sure. Piece of cake to change and should be pretty cheap tony.

X2 on Unit bearing an easy fix !!

Good that's easy enough. How many miles should I get out of them?

it all depends on the conditions... I replaced the ones on our cherokee sport @ about 197,000 and we bought the jeep with 35,000 miles on it. they did not sound bad or feel bad at all.

You really can't put a milage on them , I'm knocking on wood as I type this, but my Denali has 130k on it and I'm on the originals , replaced a buddies on his Duramax 3500 with 80k . Lifted jeep will eat'm in a year..... It all depends on the quality of the bearing, the quality that was put into the install and driving style and abuse..... I would think on mommy's minivan you could expect 100+k out of a set short of her jumping parking stops for sport !! .....

Hey just a little imput... timken hub units. dont put a duralast if your shop at AutoZone.. Im a manager there, even thought there a little more expensive, seen to many new duralast hubs come back in just a few months...

We have an account at koi and I also have a friend there that says he gives me the best price He can. Motorcraft was around 500. Raybestos was 175 but of course they were out at the warehouse. Went with a National for 215. I figured national was a good brand. Also she has 113,000 on the van

I replaced them in my 2500HD Dmax at about 70k. I think the weight of the duramax pushed them out a little bit sooner. I went with Timkens because they are lifetime warranty. Most other brands carry a year warranty.

My chev finally needs a drivers side at 251k... Gonna go with timken also.. Hell the local parts stores can give me timken ones cheaper than the Chinese knockoff... WTF???
