How much can a stock dana 44 shaft twist at the splines before it breaks? Had the rear tore down and noticed the splines are twisted about 1 spline width. Plan on running it but how much life does it have left? Im running 37x14 irocs

Put it in opposite side! Will let it twist twice as far before it's a problem

Time for an alloy shaft upgrade. You know if you let it go till breaking,it will be at the worse possible time. Then the hassle of fishing out all the broken pieces.:sweatin:

The last time I knowingly ran a twist axle spline it cost me a Detroit locker...

Thanks j. Ordered one off ebay. Doesnt seem worth breaking anything else. Even though it might get me the reason for tons.
