I hear that you can get custom shock mounting tabs, is this true? If so do you have any that would work for an inverted shock system? Thanks! :)

I'am looking to do a set up like this. Do you have any mounts that would work?

fabricator 09-19-2007 10:29 PM

website is lookin good

carwash 09-19-2007 10:33 PM

thanks fabricator!!! i'm trying.

Hybrid... so yer looking for lower mounts to do that setup? any shots of the mounts?

scarface 09-19-2007 10:46 PM

I'm thinking a 1/2" bolt attached to a mount is the way to go for that

carwash 09-19-2007 10:52 PM

nah, the bolt thing is a bad idea, it's only single shear, and will break fairly easy... here is what you need.

the pic isnt the best, but you get the idea... it makes the shock eye sit opposed to the axle tube...

Those look great! That should work. Now do you have anything like that top bracket in the pic?

If i wanted to purchase those should I do it through your website?

This is what I am talking about, but the mount that Mike just posted would work also

Hybrid 09-19-2007 10:59 PM

Thats not a bad set up either

I have nothing like the top mount... shouldn't be too hard to make custom tho.

If you want those, hit me with a pm... i can have them for you in a few days. Don't have them on the shelf.

Mine is set up just like Scarface's. Hasnt broke yet, but I like the last mount Carwashed linked to. Would be a little stronger just for safety's sake.

Heck...I may even cut mine off and weld those on there since one of my bolts is stripped out, and I welded a nut to the bolt

carwash 09-20-2007 08:11 AM

double sheer is the way to go, let me know if you want a set as well.

jfiscus 09-20-2007 08:59 AM

In order to get this thread properly off-topic I would like to enquire about some d-ring/shackle mounts for bumper construction. Not just weld on the face of the bumper, but the kind that goes all the way thru the bumper & welds at least on the front/back. Make sense?

carwash 09-20-2007 09:25 AM

makes sense... you mean like this?

4RunnerAdam 09-20-2007 03:56 PM

hmm...I need those for my front bumper too! (someday)

Ok, I added them to my cart & made an account, now I can't "checkout" to get the shipping charge...

I'm on this page:
http://www.complete4x4.com/catalog/c...t_shipping.php
And I click the "Continue" link towards the bottom and it takes me back to this page:

???
I'm on MAC 10.4.10 using Safari 2.0.4.

Do you deliver to CORE meetings instead of shipping?

carwash 09-20-2007 05:12 PM

yeah, site is not set up yet to take orders online and calculate shipping, etc...

I can possibly deliver to the meeting, or you can come by the shop sometime when im there.

Anything else you need? Hit me up on the PM side to finish this up.

At this point, the only way i can take a credit card is thru paypal, our merchant accounts wont be set up for about a month or so.

Ok, it'd cost me more in gas for little stuff like this. But if you know you'll be at a meeting I could order some stuff like that I guess. There's really nowhere close to Middletown that stocks stuff like this.

carwash 09-21-2007 09:01 AM

If you put together some stuff, i can ship it to you, no big deal.
