This is the result of poor penetration during welding. Just because it's pretty, doesn't mean its effective/strong.
Sky Offroad manufactured this truss and over a distance 24"......1.5" made good penetration for a fillet weld. This is 1/4" plate.
All of my welds are still tight. Time to break out the plasma cutter.
