Looks like we will all be leaving Thursday at different times. Mark and I will most likely leave by 3pm. Tim is unsure of what time he will be leaving. Chris will be leaving sometime mid afternoon after work.

Man, Windrock is on my bucket list. Maybe next year.
Twist the knife and post up some photos after the event.

Wish me luck on rebuilding what is left of the "unibody" on my jeep this weekend. If it is successful, I will be there !

Let us know if you need help Jim, between all of us I'm sure we can make it ready if need be...Mark and Kevin are the best help you could ever imagine when in need, believe me they have hooked me up.

You were the reason we switched Rush for Windrock. Backing out is not an option. Get it fixed... Should've brought it over last weekend while I was sitting around doing nothing. If you bring it down early Saturday, we will get it fixed.

Calm down Francis. I've been out of town, including getting hit while driving Sarah's car by a uninsured Meth-Head/Dealer in Alabama, making a cheap vacation very expensive and not very fun. I'm working on the Jeep this weekend. It will either be ready for Windrock or scrapped if the unibody is too far gone. You can't just throw a thick piece of steel at a uni-body, there is nothing to attach it to. You people with frames just don't understand! |

The Damage:
"uni-frame" is completely split open at the bottom inside edge, where the trackbar was mounted. Motor mount barely attached, see the vertical cracks up both sides of the mount There is another vertical crack and buckle in the inside vertical plane of the frame about 8" rearward of motor mount. Frame is caved in at the bumpstop contact points. I'm going to weld up all the cracks and plate the whole area (inner plane and bottom of the rail) with 1/8" plate, tied into the 10 gaguge that is already plating the outer part of the rail. I hope there is enough "good" metal there to attached the plates, that is just a few layers of sheet metal. |

The problem is finding something substantial enough to build from. There is no cage in the area of the track bar mount. I wish I had a frame.... it would be an easy repair !

We rolled out from Tool man's bout 5pm for Windrock on Thursday and got all of our rigs a good pre-wash from several flash flooding on our way, got to camp bout 10:30 and most of us were able to setup before we got a little more rain, was agreed by most that we just call it a night and get ready to head to the trail - head first thing in the morning. Had a good first day hitting a few good numbered trails, mother nature and rigs changed some of the terrain big time from last year. After a awesome day of Wheeling Jim B decided it would be best if he threw in the towel due and call it after he inspected his rig and realized his link bar mount had cracked and would need extensive repair. I had a Massive Air - leak develop in my Air regulator for my ARB locker so I had to head to camp at the end of the night on Friday. A Few of us attempted Rattle Rock on Saturday, about 2 hours in the mess we called it quits, alot of rain made it pretty tough, Mark of Course was able to make it through the first part only having to mean to his rig a few times, Good thanks to Mark on the Air regulator repair, we were able to make it work for the day Saturday only for it to start leaking again not Long after my truck decided it was best to take a Nap right after Kevin Snapped a rear main leaf of his Rig. Overall it was a absolute Awesome Wheeling trip, it was good to Wheel with Tool Man once again and hope we can get em to do more in the near future, was great to wheel with Chris and Jessica, by the way Chris you broke her in right for her first wheeling trip ever, we love to see what a Razor in your hands can do when it's under warranty...ha ha ha !!! It was good to meet your buddy Ethan in the Wildcat, let em know to get back out with us, Big thanks To Tool - man Tim for hauling our Rigs down, will have alot of pics to post up so keep checking daily.
