Christmas wishes
Sitting here watching the end of the grinch with Jim Carry. My daughter soon to be age 14 watching along with us.
I look up and stare at the ceiling. Wait for it, look back at the TV and feel all warm with little Cindy Lou holding the Grinches hand. I look back up at the ceiling. Wait for it, wife asks, "what?". Nothing, and Cindy Lou begins singing Fa La ____ what ever that song is, holding hands with her dad and the Grinch. I look up at the ceiling. Wait for it. Shelby asks sort of excited what? Is it Santa? I tell her I'm not sure, but that second, that moment, that glint in her eye, for that half of what seemed like a beautiful life time said it all. Maybe! Off to bed I said it's ten PM. I'm sure she'll have a wonderful sleep. She knows the work it takes us to make Christmas that exciting for her and her brothers. I just thought that I would share that if you're looking for the little bit of christmas spirit you can find it in the eyes of every child no matter what their age. Sitting here watching It's a wonderful life it maybe just be in my eyes as well. Merry Christmas to all. |

Kids are great no matter their age, I screwed up a text to the oldest. She understood what I was trying to say and text me back. I knew she was up then so we called her, we and her little sister wished her a Merry Christmas. We will see her and her new husband last night and latter today.

Kids>>> Great in small amounts. Glad the folks are still around to have us over. Yep, I'm getting old. Hope Yall had a great day with your loved ones. |
