Dana 44 Leaking...???

I just completed rebuilding my front Dana 44. I filled it with diff fluid this morning and just went out in the garage to find a puddle where it is leeaking out of the passenger side tube? I do not get it. The seals are brand new. Would it be possible that over filling would cause this? I hate the thought of having to tear it down again.

i had the missfortune of that same problem and when i tore it down all the way i found a peice of rust scale that i guess i pushed into the seal when installing the axle. my suggestion would be to pullthat axle and let some fluid run out to kind of flush it out and see what you get. with the metal ramps on the seals there pretty tough to damage. good luck

My seals did not have no "metal ramps". I just ordered a Speedi Sleeve from Napa. I hope to pull the axle shaft out and find a groove in it.
