Zoe fire dept fundraiser trail ride, Slade Sept 18th

The Fall fire department fundraiser ride is on Sept 18th, meeting at the ZOE firehouse about 9 am, LEAVING for the trails at 10 am. The money raised will help pay for the day to day expenses incurred by the volunteer fire department that covers much of the areas we ride at Slade. The ride will be on some private land, as well as National forest lands as always. There is a cookout afterwards at the end of the day, and a $20 donation per rig is requested. These are great rides, supporting a great cause, so come out and be a part of it.

I've never been to slade before, but I've heard good things. Can you tell me a little more about this event? How well built are the rigs? How many rigs? etc. I'm not worried about keeping up but I have a buddy with a pretty stock 85 yota.

They have 3 different groups at least. Ranges from easy to extreme wouldn't suggest anything close to stock goin extreme. Any 4x4 is capable just have to go with the group that fits.

This link will give you a small idea of what to expect. I wouldn't call it extreme, but it can give you problems.

Like he said, there will be different groups hitting various areas. And there are a few bypass trails around some difficult trails.

Bring 'em down, more the merrier.
