Aluminum Welding?
I just bought an older beater canoe from a family member, but it needs a crack welded in the bottom & side. The internets tell me I can buy rods for my stick welder to weld this; has anyone done this before? Where can I buy these local to Middletown?
I have a 220v AC/DC stick & cheapo 120v mig. Anyone care to chime in with help? |

I bet Wieler in Dayton would have them, I would get a very small rod.

Aluminum is tricky. I mean, it ain't impossible, and with some practice I'm sure you could do a lot better than I do. But I don't think you wanna practice on a boat. Robert
