Check engine light 2006 ford freestar

I pulled codes from my wife's van tonight and the only one that came up was insufficient egr flow. What does this mean and how do I fix it?

Step one would be to clear the code and see if it returns. If it does then start inspecting the EGR system. Wouldn't be surprised to see the valve gummed up or the hoses partially block with sludge or carbon build-up. The EGR is probably electronically controlled so check the wiring.
