The only thing I have kept ten years is my wife and oldest child. Congrats! You should know it inside and out!

Thanks awesome!
I figured there'd be one or two longer lived than mine, but 18 years is amazing... I still suspect I've got one of the longest-running daily drivers though!

'71 Toyota FJ40. Dad bought it in '72. Body is pretty rough (typical of these that lived in the Midwest) but only has about 55k on the odometer and all stock except for 2" lift and 31's. Sitting in a friends barn waiting to be restored, though still quite driveable and will start on the first crank with a good battery.

The above is a 4" lift (front springs, rear blocks), 33x12.50 BFG Muds on 15x10 alloys, 10-bolts with 4.10 gears, Tru-Trac rear, Eaton posi in front. Before you bash me on "upgrading" the 10-bolts: 1. I was young 2. It was the '90s 3. It was stolen and they blew out the rear axle during this time, so insurance wrote me a check for a new OEM rear axle which is $$$$$....that paid for most of the regear and limited slips front and rear.... With 35x12.50 MT/R's right after they came out (had a buddy that worked at Goodyear that set me up) Some point in there went with a 14FF rear with a welded diff, swapped the front to 8-lug, and kept the same tires with 15" 8 lug wheels. Next was a front D60 with a lock-right and 13/38-16 Swampers. Installed cage and customer front and rear bumpers at some point. Lots of custom body work. Probably mid-2000's timeframe. |

Nowhere near as wild as some around here, but it stands out in most parking lots.
