actually some people will arrive at haspin on Friday after work(5-6pm range)and start wheeling. most usually get there by 9am on Saturday and meet up back by the shoe tree. there is a certain amount of recovery from the night before and some early morning b.s.ing that goes on but should hit the trails by 10 and ride until about 5 then the people that are headed to big rock start packing up and heading that way.

Big Rock's facebook page says they're closed to wheeling until further notice, "through at least next week." I posted up asking for clarification...
Maybe DTOR as a Plan B? We won't get a night ride, but I don't know if anybody cleared one with Duke either... Robert

As much rain as we got, you're gonna have your work cut out for you on street tires.

I'd be fine wheeling there, but they don't allow camping. Or glass containers.

But for the Tour, I just don't think it'll work. I don't think people are going to want to cut it short Saturday to drive four plus hours to primitive camp in 35* weather. And I really don't think people will want to do that drive early Sunday instead, to get out there past noon, and get four hours in and have to drive back... But hey, I'm not in charge. Does Rush sound better to anybody that's planning to go? For that matter, who is planning to go?

Good luck with that. I wouldn't count on them coming back any time soon.

yes the shoe tree. unless you want a change of scenery, haspin has a bra tree to offer over toward the backbone.

wasn't much left the last time I was there so that may be true at this point. not sure if everyone knows where to meet then if they are new to haspin. maybe Robert can post a pic of the location since he was mapping it out ?
