ATV's at Slade/Natural Bridge

We are planning on wheelin' trip to Natural Bridge next month. One of the guys was asking about bringing an ATV down there to run with us.

I've seen ATV's down there before, but thought I had heard they were cracking down on non-licensed vehicles? Anyway, what are your thoughts on whether this is a good idea or not?

Bring the atv if you are a really fast rider and do not care if it gets impounded. They are still watching and many trails are seeded over. If you are licensed and insured obey the laws and enjoy!

most atvs ive seen are local people ive even seen riding lawn mowers which is quit funny in a redneck way but still looks bad on the rest of the law obeying people so keep it legal we dont need to give anyone more reasons to close trails

I was with group wheeling at Slade last November when one of them showed up with a quad. We hadn't been there 30 minutes before we were told to put it back in the truck or take the fine. So, back in the truck it went and the dude had to wheel all day with a heavy ass Polaris 4x4 quad in the back of his truck. His bumper and tailgate ended paying the price...

ATV's would not help the problem we currently have.

That's what I was thinking, just wanted to double-check before I gave the guy an answer.

On a slightly different note, any reccomendations for other trails to ride to give us two good days? We are familiar with the normal trails....Widowmaker, Rattlesnake up to Carb, Devil's Brew (up above Moonshine.......is Moonshine open?), Slider, Blazer, etc...

We used to always come in through the Nature Trail but I know that is closed.
