June 4, 2011- BFGoodrich® Tires Outstanding Trails Award/National Trails Day

Everyone is welcome to help the IFWDA and Boonie Riders celebrate Interlake Trail 19 being named BFGoodrich® Tires Outstanding Trail down at Interlake SRA located in Lynnville, Indiana. This 3,500-acre property is owned and managed by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.

The day's itinerary* is as follows:

Saturday, June 4 @ 9:00AM - Arrive at Interlake SRA. People planning to participate should be at Interlake by 8:00, so they can be aired down, and read to go before 9:00.
9:00 AM to 12:00 noon - Cleanup, trail maintenance, etc....
12:00 Noon - Lunch, and the BFGoodrich® Tires Outstanding Trails Award Ceremony.
1:00 till ??- Trailride the Interlake property

Directions to Interlake: From I-64: Exit 39 north. This puts you directly in Lynville, at the gas station. You will turn right (east) on hwy 68. Drive 3 miles on 68, then turn left (north) onto the gravel road that is the south entrance to Interlake. This is the sign that will greet you at the entrance to the property.

Once on the gravel, proceed up the road about 1.5 miles to the parking lot, which will be on your left. It is a little ways off the road, but pretty easy to see.

For lunch, Boonie Riders and Bluegrass 4x4 clubs are providing the meat. IFWDA is providing drinks.

Equipment needed for work: pruners, gloves, winches (for pulling fallen trees out of the trail), chain saw- only if full DNR required PPE is being worn while using. Interlake was right in the past of several severe thunderstorms this spring, so there will be a lot of storm clean up on the trails. There will be some trash pick up to work on as well.
