Local driveshaft guy???
I'm looking for somebody who can extend my front driveshaft 6" with heavy wallstock (.120 or .250) and balance it? Anybody know a good driveshaft guy?
Fyi- if it matters its a front Toyota IFS with cardan joint. Spline doesn't need lengthening (already 1/8" spline 12" long), only extend the housing basically. Thanks |

Stay away from Dayton clutch and joint. They are horrible. I had mine made by Curtis tattoon. He used .120 wall and can make and balance .250 wall but he tells me the .250 wall isn't great for on road use. He says on his rig it's so heavy that at 40 mph you can really feel it. He was also an average of $100 cheaper than anyone else around here. Problem is he is located in Utah so you would have to ship yours to him.

Yeah, I was trying to find somebody local. I had this one originally made by high angle driveline, but shipping gets expensive when its both ways.
Cinci is closer than daton, but I was hoping for one in NKY... You wouldn't have Curtis Tatton's number would you... as a back up?.... scratch that, found his info from google. Last edited by pfreer3; 05-29-2011 at 01:04 PM. |
