bad gas

Our fuel station sold us some very dirty gas. I took the filters off the trucks and it looked like sand coming out. 4 F-250s were screwed up. Here is the kicker though. A chevy van with a 350 is still running fine. I was told the Fords atomize the fuel better and the chevy would run if there was a midget under the hood dumping fuel down the intake but wouldnt it have some issues????

The fuel station should take care of all your problems for you (expense wise) in this situation. I would take the Chevrolet to a local shop, and have them test it for you. I'm sure that the pump will give out sooner due to the bad gas it's not made for going through it.

I would assume the diesel was mixed with gas or vice-versa. If that's the case then you're not the only one with issues from THEIR problem. We've fixed this problem for one of our customers before when it happened at speedway & they were very easy to deal with & get paid.

We pumped the (mixed) gas out of the trucks & put it in a big container in our shop. A couple of us got brave since they didn't want the gas back & tried running it. Friend's Honda fuel pump bit the dust the same day. My 97 chevy van ran fine for a week, then the pump & injectors (spider!) bit the dust soon after.
