Neither will give you the signal of hard wiring your Xbox to your router. I tried several wireless adapters and always had lag issues. Plus a cable is much cheaper!

Cabling it is out of the question so wireless is the best that i can do at this piont but really would like to know which do a better job... seems the repeater would increase signal strength to both computer and xbox so that might be what I might try then get the n adaptor to help out...

is your Xbox near your computer?
You can wire the X-box to the computer and bridge off the PC's wireless if it has a better signal. I had mine hooked up like this when i was at my parents house. now at my house it is hard wired.
