transfer case problems

my transfer case in my sammy wont stay in 4 lo or 2 wheel drive it has 6.4 to 1 rock crawler gears in it does anyone no why it would do that

these problems are usually do to linkage coming loose, etc. get under there, clean it up, and have someone shift it and watch for any binding or slop.

if none, it's time to get dirty then.

hmmmmmmmmmmmm

is it a oem case?? if so you will need xray vision to see the linkagez due to being the same in design as a top loader trans ..has the problem appeared after the 6.4/1 install if so my guess is install issue (i fixed a 4.1 some one modifed the case when they should not have)if not there may be a issue with a little rubber gromet in the t case it normally causes binding due to saturation in gear oil but its worth checking before you pull it it can be changed in the zuk the gromet has a funky name try searching pirate 4x4 there used to be a article on it a die hard zuk guy will know the name its inexpensive as well ............
